Yesterday, on Saturday, July 28, we had the Grand Finale for the MISS & MR SL Youngstar 2018 Pageant. The Grand Finale's are always kind of bitter sweet... it's a long, rewarding journey not only for the candidates, but for the team as well. There were so many good candidates it was hard for the judges to choose just one, because really, they're all winners... They've ALL grown, and worked so hard to make it to the finale, and I hope they feel as proud of themselves as I am of them. BUT there's only one crown for the girls and one brooch for the boys... so that being said, I'd like to offer a huge congratulations to Miss CarolinaOmena and Mr Xuro, who are the new reigning MISS & MR SL YoungStars. I know you two will be amazing in the role, just as Aly and Kenzie were as MISS & MR SL YoungStar 2017. To all the other runner ups and finalists, I do hope you'll keep your heads up and continue to work and learn, you were all amazing!

Yesterday, on July 14, we had the 2nd runway challenge for the MISS & MR SL YoungStar 2018 Pageant. For this challenge, the candidates were instructed to choose a painting or sculpture to become inspired by, research the person in the painting, style an outfit inspired by the fashion in the painting worn by the person depicted, update it to the trends of 2017-2018, and use at least 2 primary and/or secondary colors. In addition, they also needed a quote made by the person depicted in the painting or sculpture. Full challenge details will be linked below of course too. This was such a fun and interesting challenge, we saw so many great works of art, and the YoungStars showed true creativity in their ensembles. They all did a great job and I can't wait to see what comes next! I'd also like to thank Giz Seorn, who provided this beautiful dress for me to wear during the show! The next YoungStar show will be the Grand Finale, where we'll find out which of them will be the next MISS & MR SL YoungStar, held on July 28, at 10am SLT! Yesterday on July 7th, was the first official challenge for the MISS & MR SL YoungStar 2018 Pageant. For this challenge, the kids were instructed to become inspired by their favorite Anime character, and explain why this character inspires them. They all did so amazing! So much creativity and the fun they had was clearly visible as they walked on the runway! I can't wait to see what they'll do next! The second challenge is scheduled for this Saturday, July 14 at 10am SLT, and of course be sure to follow MISS SL Organization to stay updated on upcoming events and shows!
