It's Thanksgiving... a day to be thankful for the things we have... spend time with family... and of course... eat lots of turkey and pie! I'm thankful for the family I have, I'd be lost without my mom, she means the world to me. I'm also thankful for the friends I have, some new, some old, some who have been friends so long now that I can't imagine life without them. Today was the 2nd Runway Challenge for the MISS SL 2018 Pageant, and it most definitely did not disappoint! All the ladies looked amazing! For this challenge, the candidates were invited to four events of the wedding of Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle, and told to choose which of the four events to attend and style for. They could only choose ONE, even though I'm sure many wished they could attend them all! *Smiles* They also had to use colors for the trending Pantone, and not use the colors black or white in their clothing. Full challenge details and specifics will be linked below. I can't wait to see what comes next in the MISS SL 2018 Pageant, it will be great! The next event for the MISS SL Organization will be the NEO Japan Show on March 31, at 9am SLT, with more pageant events in coming weeks after. The Press Presentation for the MISS SL 2017 Pageant has come and gone, which means only one more big event til we find out who will wear the title of MISS SL 2017. For this Press Presentation, the contestants were instructed to style a formal outfit inspired by Chinese fashion designer, Guo Pei. Their only limitations were that their stylings must be suitable for a red carpet, and that they must NOT wear a tiara or crown. This was a fabulous event, and the ladies certainly did not disappoint!

The lovely gowns that Rissa and I got to wear during the Press Presentation are both by Dead Dollz, and are available in 8 colors, or as a fatpack, exclusively for the Maitreya Lara mesh body, at FaMESHed 5th Anniversary Round. This dress also comes with a HUD which allows a choice of matching shrug and bow, or a contrasting color that compliments nicely. Rissa and I chose both the blue tones, and matched perfectly in an opposite sort of way, totally accidental, but looks amazing!

The 2nd Challenge for the MISS SL 2017 Pageant has come and gone, and I must say, I really enjoyed this one. There were so many gorgeous ensembles shown by the contestants, I am certain that the judges had a very difficult time scoring them! For this challenge, the girls were instructed to style an outfit expressing something to do with Spring, whether it be flowers, animals, trees, really whatever Spring means to them. The MR SL 2017 Pageant has come to an end... we officially have a new reigning MR SL, but we will always have Mr. SaianSamuel as MR SL 2016, and the first ever MR SL. A HUGE congratulations to Mr. Colt Jonstone for winning! I know you'll be a great addition to the MR and MISS SL family! It's always a little melancholy at the end of a pageant, so much time and effort goes into putting them together, but you make new friends along they way and then you're happy for the winner and finalists. Yes, I'm again quite late with this, BUT as I always say, it's better late than never! It's been quite the journey for the MISS SL 2016 contestants, and hopefully it's been a rewarding one for all of them too. For this Grande Finale event, we got to see not one but three fabulous ensembles from the contestants. First we got to see their Victoria's Secret stylings, then we got to see them in their National Costume stylings, and last but certainly not least, we got to see their Formal stylings. It was a long day, lots on anticipation, but we narrowed it down to the top 12, then the top 5, then finally, the winner of MISS SL 2016. Miss Ivyana Szondi has been a fabulous Queen so far and it's been a pleasure to see her continue to shine, but in my personal opinion, every MISS SL 2016 contestant is a shiny gem and will continue to do great things! As for me, well, I'll continue to be around too, just as I was all through the pageant. *Smiles* OH and I almost forgot! Below is the dress I wore hosting the Grande Finale. It's by ISON and has absolutely gorgeous lace detail for the bodice, and the sheer overlay for the top is optional. It came in several colors, and had fits for all the popular mesh bodies out there. *Smiles* I chose black because you can never go wrong with a classic black dress!

The 2nd challenge for the MISS SL 2016 Pageant was really quite interesting. The contestants were to choose a queen from the past, study her styling, and then modernize it based on this specific queen. Since I am only the chat host, I didn't really follow the challenge too closely, but I did choose this dress because it felt very regal and elegant.
