An Invigorating Dose of Venom

Last Saturday, on June 30, we had the 2nd Audition for the MISS & MR SL YoungStar 2018 Pageant. The kids called were instructed to style an outfit inspired by Urban Warrior Fashion, and to use at least 1 primary or secondary color, and to explain why they were inspired to create the styling. Full audition details will be linked below. They all did amazingly well and made it into the pageant! YAY! The 1st official challenge is scheduled for next Saturday, July 7, at 10am SLT, and I can't wait to see what these talented kids come up with next! Today was the 5th and last of the regular runway challenges for MISS SL 2018, and boy was it a fun one! The ladies were asked to become inspired by Pierrot, and bring it into the year 2068. They also had to use at least 3 colors, one of which being a primary or secondary color, and for this challenge, the colors black and white could also count towards the 3 colors. We saw so many colorful and intriguing outfits! Great job ladies! Full challenge details will be linked below. The Press Presentation is scheduled for Saturday, May 12, at 10am SLT, and I simply cannot wait to see how the ladies will style and answer the press! The Press Presentation for the MISS SL 2017 Pageant has come and gone, which means only one more big event til we find out who will wear the title of MISS SL 2017. For this Press Presentation, the contestants were instructed to style a formal outfit inspired by Chinese fashion designer, Guo Pei. Their only limitations were that their stylings must be suitable for a red carpet, and that they must NOT wear a tiara or crown. This was a fabulous event, and the ladies certainly did not disappoint!

The lovely gowns that Rissa and I got to wear during the Press Presentation are both by Dead Dollz, and are available in 8 colors, or as a fatpack, exclusively for the Maitreya Lara mesh body, at FaMESHed 5th Anniversary Round. This dress also comes with a HUD which allows a choice of matching shrug and bow, or a contrasting color that compliments nicely. Rissa and I chose both the blue tones, and matched perfectly in an opposite sort of way, totally accidental, but looks amazing!
